Sequels and possible new hits. From your favourite Marvel characters and some that you probably never heard of. I think that these movies are going to be awesome. I'm no nerd about Marvel and DC Comics, but I like to see some good guys kick butt every once in a while.
One of these movies that I am looking forward to is the Doctor Strange movie. I have never heard of Doctor Strange until one of my friends showed me this picture of the, to-be-released Marvel movies in the years to come. The role of Dr. Strange is to be played by Benedict Cumberbatch and be directed by Scott Derrickson according to Venture Capital Post. Derrickson said in an interview, "he's got one of the best origins ever." (referring to Dr. Strange) also, Derrickson hinted at the movie over Twitter. The character Dr. Strange is a former neurosurgeon who protects Earth from magical and mystical threats. He first appeared in the Marvel comic, Strange Tales along with The Human Torch. Dr. Strange appears in in the 80's Spider Man and His Amazing Friends cartoon series in one episode. Also in the 90's animated series Spider Man: The Animated Series. There was an original Live-Action film to be made in the 90's but there were a lot of changes in production. After all this time they got it all figured out and are going to release the movie in 2016. I think that Benedict Cumberbatch will do a good job playing this character. In my opinion he is a pretty decent actor, making many appearances in TV shows and movies such as The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Battle of the Five Armies playing the voice of Smaug. Also he plays Sherlock in the BBC Sherlock series as well as Steven Hawking in the movie Hawking in 2004 (released by BBC). |
Another movie that I am looking forward to is Inhumans. After doing a bit of research about the Inhumans, the group is growing on me. The royal family are the 6 main people in the Inhumans group: Black Bolt, Medusa, Crystal, Gorgon, Triton and Karnak. Also their is Luna and their "body guard", LockJaw who is a dog that was exposed to the Terrigen Mist, which is what gave the Inhumans and LockJaw their powers. The Mist can incredibly deform people who are exposed to it. Which is why Black Bolt and Medusa look totally normal and others like Gorgon and Triton look like they're from a different planet. Once they are exposed to the Mist, they are placed in a certain spot in the Attilan society. Attilan is basically the Ancient Chinese Imperial city, nobody can go in it. This is where the Inhumans live and you can only go into the city if you have been exposed to the Terrigen Mist. The guy that I like the most is Black Bolt, which probably is the same for anyone who like the Inhumans. He is the King of Attilan and the wife to Medusa, and apparently is the cousin to Medusa as well. Which is pretty weird. Other than that married to his cousin thing, he seems like a pretty cool guy. His power is basically a super sonic voice which deals around the same amount of damage of an atomic bomb. He can also, fly and has superhuman strength. Just like basically any other superhero. So overall, I think this certain movie is going to kick butt.
The last movie that I really looking forward to in the list of Marvel movies is Captain America: Civil War, set to come out May, 6, 2016 . I have seen both The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier and thought that they were both very well made movies and were very entertaining to watch. Just searching Captain America: Civil War into Google, got me excited. It seems just from the movie poster that it's gonna be a thriller. Going into more depth in my search for more information, I found that Captain America and Iron Man fight, also Spider Man shows up somewhere in the movie but I do not yet know who he is fighting with. Many of the people from previous movies make appearances in the movie as well as new characters like Black Panther. Alliances from other movies like Cpt. America and Falcon from The Winter Soldier appear and I think that Bucky; Steve Rodgers (Captain America's) best friend, remembers how he knows Captain America (If you have seen The Winter Soldier then you know what I am talking about.). I am interested to see what side Spider Man will go to in the movie because the Spider Man series has been on it's own, not like Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, who come together in the Avengers along with the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. I also saw that there is another Spider Man movie to come out, but that isn't until after Civil War comes out. Overall, I am especially going to be keeping my eye on updates on this movie as this one has peeked my interest the most out of the 8 movies to come out.
All in all, I am so excited for everyone of these movies and I am sure to try and make an effort to see them. Hopefully if you're not a Marvel guy, or just not into these kinds of movies, that you check out some of them. I think that all of them are going to be really good because...you can never go wrong with superheroes.
